Campus Router Maintenance

In preparation for the network bandwidth upgrade, DoIT and UHMC Network Services will be performing maintenance on Nov. 5, Nov. 12 and Nov. 19 between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. This may disrupt both the internal and external campus connection. Precautions will be taken to minimize outages. Please plan accordingly.

East Campus

Network Downtime to Implement Secondary Internet Connection

In an effort to improve access to the Internet, SBUMC Network Services will be implementing a secondary Internet connection. This project will require outages of the connection between East and West Campus. The dates and times for these maintenance windows are Nov. 5, Nov. 12 and Nov. 19 between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. During this time, all network access to West Campus and the Internet will be disrupted. This includes access to Lotus Notes, Remote Access VPN, Vendor Support VPN, Internet, and the following clinics (Hampton Bays, Islip, Community Resource Center, East Moriches, Gyrodyne). This maintenance will not affect any internal network connectivity within the Hospital, HSC, Tech Park or other clinics.
