Increase to Lotus Notes Mail Quota
Lotus Notes users received a bump to the size of their mail quotas from 500 MB to 750 MB at the start of the Fall 2009 semester. Mail quotas take into account messages that are sent and received, stationery that is created, and all calendar and to do entries.
If your mail application becomes larger than 750 MB, you will start to see warning messages that you are over quota. In addition, new mail arriving for you may be delayed, and you will not be able to save sent mail. If you do not correct this situation, eventually you will not be able to access your e-mail at all.
What You Can Do
Get in the habit of continually managing your mail.
- Delete messages that you don’t need
- Archive documents that you may want to access later
- Remove attachments from the e-mails that you save
All three of these tips will free up space and improve the performance of your mail.
