Is Your PC Infected with the Conficker Worm?
Conficker, also known as Downup, Downandup, Conflicker, and Kido is a computer worm that targets Microsoft Windows operating systems and prevents these computers from accessing certain anti-virus and security Web sites, such as Microsoft Windows Update.
The Conficker Working Group, a group of information technology security professionals working against the Conficker worm, developed a Web page called the Conficker Eye Chart to detect whether a machine is infected.
If you are able to see all six images on the chart, your computer is not infected.
Below the eye chart is an explanation of how to interpret results. If you think your computer may be infected with the Conficker worm, please see the Conficker Working Group’s list of Repair Tools.
