Student Accounts to be Deleted April 1


E-Mail

Stony Brook University does not provide student computer accounts for life. On April 1, accounts for students who were not registered at SB for the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 semesters will be deleted. This includes club e-mail accounts that were registered by a student who is no longer at the University.

Once an account is deleted, the data/information contained in that account cannot be retrieved. This applies to the following SB computer accounts:

  • Sparky mail
  • Lotus Notes mail
  • NetID
  • MySBfiles
  • Blackboard
  • SharePoint MySite

It is important for students who will be leaving the University to ensure that they are taking important files with them. Find out how to do this by reading the TLT “Take Action” checklist.
