Wireless (Wi-Fi)
Wireless access (Wi-Fi) is available to all faculty, staff, students, and guests by connecting to WolfieNet. Users may see any one or all of the following WolfieNet options when they attempt to make a wireless connection:
WolfieNet-Get-Connected
- For people trying to connect to Stony Brook's Wi-Fi network for the very first time
- Uses XpressConnect technology to properly configure settings on the person's device (laptop, mobile device, tablet, etc.) to make for a quicker and easier connection to WolfieNet-Secure
- Only needs to be selected the first time a person tries to connect to campus Wi-Fi. After that, users should connect to WolfieNet-Secure for campus Wi-Fi.

WolfieNet-Secure
WolfieNet-Guest
- To be used by visitors of the University on campus to attend conferences, seminars, workshops, etc.
- No authentication required
- Users must agree and accept the WolfieNet-Guest Wireless Internet Policy
