Student technicians are the backbone of student technical computer support. They provide the second level of support through the Client Support Student Service Center. Student technicians diagnose and troubleshoot student computers.
Student technicians should exhibit the following qualities:
Student technicians are required to work at least three hours per week supporting computers that are dropped off at the Client Support Student Service Center, and at least six hours per week conducting room visits within the residence halls.

Student technicians will be trained prior to move-in week/weekend and are required to attend all training sessions. Training covers the administrative, interpersonal, and technical skills required to complete the job.
Student technician work schedules are distributed during training. However, all student technicians are expected to work extra hours during move-in week/weekend to support student registration issues.
