Students: Need Help Registering Your Computer?
There are a few ways students can get help if they are having trouble registering their computer on the Stony Brook residential network (ResNet) during the first few weeks of school.

Bring Computer to Client Support or the SAC's Traditions Lounge During Opening Weekend
- Members of Client Support and the Division of Information Technology will be available to assist students with computer registration on Friday, Aug. 28, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 30, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. in Room S-5410 on the fifth floor of the Melville Library and in the SAC's Traditions Lounge.
Seek Assistance from Client Support
- Client Support technicians continue helping students register their computers once classes begin. Starting on Monday, Aug. 31, students can bring their computers to Client Support located on the fifth floor of the Melville Library (Room S-5410). Business hours are Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Call Client Support to Schedule Remote Assistance
- Students can call (631) 632-9800 if they would like to have a Client Support technician connect remotely to their computer to provide assistance.
